Another week has flown by. Nothing new to report except starting to feel the pressure with approaching assignment/project deadlines and mid-semester exams. Took a break though from studying and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the cinema with a classmate. The movie was great and had me laughing the whole time! The theatre was packed. Definitely not as many signing hands as I’m used to seeing at the captioned theatre back home. I remember in Houston, you’d go to a captioned movie, and everybody would congregate outside the theatre with flying hands everywhere before and after the movie even with complete strangers! Not quite like that here. I miss my best friend, but she’ll be back soon! I just know it. :) Btw, I think I should start my own community of Bilingual Deafies—a place where every fence straddler fits! I’m starting to crave chocolate now…
